LEH-GO-LAND
A few weeks back, Boyf and I went to Legoland Malaysia with our friends Anna and Junyi! I never really got about to putting my pictures on my personal blog, so now I have finally found the time! We had such a fun day but only because we had the right company. Legoland is an interactive place which is more suited for families with young children instead of young adults. However, if you are a young adult with a kid in you, you will definitely have fun as long as you are with your friends. (:

When You Were My Man - Madilyn Bailey
Hey guys, I chanced upon this video on my Facebook newsfeed. It's the female version of "When I Was Your Man" by Bruno Mars. The lyrics are slightly different so that it is from a girl's perspective and I think it's really good. Madilyn Bailey managed to portray the regretful feeling almost like Bruno Mars did, but different in a sense that it was to admit the mistakes they made as a couple and that she finally realized that she deserved somebody better.
It rings a certain bell in me. In every relationship, there is no complete right or wrong. Both are responsible for the mistakes made. But for girls who dated guys with huge pride, you need to be strong to realize you deserve somebody better. I'm not saying that guys are always at fault, don't jump to conclusion. What I'm saying is based on the context of this song, you might take awhile to realize, but it's alright. I took a long time, but now I finally got somebody who "buys me flowers and holds my hand, gives me all his hours when he has the chance." (:

TITLE.
Hey there, pardon the title because I couldn't come up with one.
Have been busy studying with the boy and friends. Sadly, all my friends are going to end their examinations wayyyy earlier than me. Well not all, just most. As you know, I have recently been appointed the President of SIM Netball Club. It is a huge role as it is being captain with administrative responsibilites. Just checked the club's email and there were so many enquiries about joining the club that were unanswered. Hope that those people still have an interest in joining after I replied them ): So if any readers who are in SIM and are interested to join Netball (recreational or competitive), do drop an email to netball@clubs.sim.edu.sg and I promise you I will reply you within a week. (:
I have been totally hooked onto nail polish thanks to my dear friend Sherilyn. If you are a nail polish addict, especially indie brands, do check out my friend's swatch blog (nailsbysherilyn.wordpress.com) She gives great reviews and you would be able to find some good brands which are among her favourites (: Follow her on instagram as well! (http://instagram.com/sherilynnnnnn) I am totally excited about my Jindie Nails prize which is on their way. Will probably start swatching soon but I will need to learn from Sherilyn hahaha.
So, it's the last leg of the uni year! Everybody study hard so that you can have an awesome summer vacation with the worrying about your results because you know you have studied hard! Best of luck people!

Too much on my hands ):
Hey everybody, life's been pretty tough for me recently. Exams are just round the corner and my body clock is screwed up and I feel like I don't have enough time to finish studying even though I have started a longgggg time ago.
BUT!! CANNOT GIVE UP! So all of you readers out there who are having exams soon, All the best! I know it's tiring, I know it's totally draining you out, but it's the last stretch so just push through and you'll have a very awesome long holiday!! Relationship tips?
Hey everybody, sorry for the lack of posts. I've just started work, prelims just ended and my piano exam is coming up so I am really exhausted /: Anyway, do not judge the title of this post. Huge disclaimer: I am not saying that I am excellent at relationships. I am still learning, but I believe that there are changes in me that I have noticed comparing how I was in my previous relationship and how I am now.
At a beginning of a relationship, every couple will have this phase where they want to spend every single waking moment with their other half aka "Honeymoon Period." That is fine, completely normal. What happens after is the difficult part.
There will be a time when you want to have some time to hang out with your friends without any of you bringing your partners along. However, because you have spent about a few months spending everyday with your partner, you suddenly feel overwhelmed when they ask "can I tag along?" Note that they are not "clingy", they are just used to tagging along. Generally, (but of course with exceptions), girls will be the one that immediately feel insecure when their boyfriends say, "No la it's just us guys and we will probably hang out till really late, so you just sleep first ok?" It instantly leads to "shit, he meeting some girl." NO! Don't jump to that conclusion. Guys, you are not escaping from this because I know of some guys who react the same way.
First of all, WHERE IS THE TRUST? Are you sure you are ready for any form of commitment? I mean, if you really trust him/her, just let them have time with their friends. I was out with a girl friend and we both agreed that sometimes girls will have their own things to gossip/chat about and so do guys. Yet these topics that are discussed are usually unable to be expressed when our partners are around. It is COMPLETELY normal. Everybody needs their me time, girl time and guy time. It just this thing called "Space". Without this space and some air to breathe, nobody will ever want to be in a relationship. They will just go to clubs and probably have a list of girls/guys for booty call.
Sometimes when my boy stays over for the night, his friend who is my neighbour would ask him out for supper. Although staying over at my place means to spend time with me, I just passed him my house keys and just let him go have supper and a good catch up session with his mate without me sitting there blocking the flow of the many topic they could be discussing. Not just supper, I even let him hang with 2 other guy friends and they went to Wine Bar for some drinks. Which brings me to my second point.
2: You will honestly feel good after giving each other that space. If your partner lets you have a day away from him/her to hang out with your friends, you will go out feeling "he/she is so understanding." You will know that you had made a good choice to commit to a relationship with such a partner. You will also feel good if you are the one allowing him/her to go out with their friends. You give your partner the impression that you trust them and you understand that these are the people your partner grew up with and they have loads to catch up. You also leave a good impression on your partner's friends. They will be saying "your girl/boy so nice, give you space to hang out with us. You are a lucky man/woman." Honestly.
3. You need to have separate group of friends. Yes you can bring your partner into your clique and be a huge clique, but you still need to have the "his friends" and "her friends" group. Being in a hugeeee group of friends can affect friendship. Happened to me and I know. I lost an ENTIRE group of friends because of a breakup. Stupid. Your separate groups of friends allow you to find this space to prevent the feeling of being suffocated by the commitment. You will each have a group of friends to call out without the need of always bringing a partner. After all, you met this group of friends when you were all single, so you need to have that fun time once in a while.
I know this aren't exactly fantastic tips, but they are little things I have noticed about how I have grown since my last horrible relationship and it has made me work towards being a better girlfriend. Not only that, it also made me realize a relationship is about giving and taking. There cannot be only one side giving in all the time because it will lead to exhaustion of the other party, and hence straining the relationship. I hope these tips can give you a little nudge to reflect upon your relationship and work hand-in-hand with your partner to keep it going strong (:

CNY!
Hey all! How was your CNY? Did you collect a lot of red packets? I know I did! However, I have yet to open them because I was brought up to follow a tradition whereby I open my red packets after the 15th day of CNY. Do any of you do that?
Currently I am on my way to work. Really tired due to my major studying session last night. Exhausted. Prelims are around the corner and I have to catch up especially since I have had too much fun the past week. Hehe.
I was contemplating on what I want my blog to review specifically. Advertising for parties gets tiring because I haven't been clubbing often. Thinking of reviewing nail polishes. I should try that. Nail polishes and make ups probably. I'll probably think about this more carefully when I'm fully awake. Shall nap on the bus before I reach work. (:

Start of the 2013
Hey there all! (Belated) HAPPY NEW YEAR! I know I am slow but I have been so busy soaking up my freedom from school that I just don't feel like even noting down the events that happened. Simply bask in the moment as I spend it with my beloved.
How has the new year been for all of you? My new year started fairly normal, driving down ECP sending my sister to her sleepover party. No countdown. but oh well. School has started again for majority of people, even for my babyboy. Yay he has started university with me and we even went to school together today. (: School has started and so will hardcore mugging. Uni students have to be always on the ball of their feet with the rushing of assignments and the end of semester examinations that always seem so near. That goes for me as well. I am halfway through my UOL year 1 so preliminary examinations are in about 2 months time. I am totally freaking out. I really need to discipline myself and get back on track. Another bunch of people who need to stay consistent are the JC2 and the Sec 4E/5NA kids. You guys really have to start being consistent right now. Whatever homework that needs to be done, do it. Do not procrastinate, especially JC2s. O levels is possible to scrape through because I did. But if you really want good grades, start now. Don't wait too long and live to regret like I did. JC2s, start now. A levels is not as easy as you thought it would be. You take it and you will think O levels was a breeze. (It is.) I took A levels twice, not fun. Study hard and get it over and done with. My sister will be studying along with you all. She's in SAJC. (: So I wish you all the best in your studies, my dear readers.
And if I actually have some adult readers (I'm not sure, but just in case.) I wish you the best of luck at work. May you get a pay increment or a promotion and may your nasty boss be slightly better because you know that is better than nothing. hahaha.

I turned 20!
Currently in the middle of Economics tutorial. Class was supposed to start by 0830 but I reached at 0900 and he actually stopped at 0911. Hahaha. It's not just Q&A session so I don't exactly see a point in listening. I'm practically just staying to make the time I took to travel to school seem worth it.
Oh! and I've yet to mention. I turned 20 over the weekends! I was surprised at the shop by my girls on the 23rd, my family brought me out for dinner on 24th and surprised me with a chocolate birthday cake from Four Leaves at midnight of the 25th! (: Yes I did have a wonderful birthday.
I might do some promoting of this awesome Facebook page that I chanced upon selling cosmetics are really really cheap prices! I bought a 96 ultra shimmer colours eyeshadow palette for only $16. U.P. is $18 but she was so specific with her stock that she thoroughly checked all of it and discounted the price according to the damage. See if I have the time (:

Studying takes effect..
Gave up on going for my one-hour econs tutorial since I was gonna be half an hour late. So I decided to send my babyboy to work. ^^ After that, which was about 9am, I headed to Starbucks 313, got a venti cup of toffee nut latte (DAYUM!) and I have been doing my past econs tutorial since. I think I might fail this module. But I am doing my best not to fall into that trap. I have to get it done!
I have 16 days left of being a teen. Time sure passed by fast. Soon I will be attending a million and one weddings. Hahaha. It really seemed like just yesterday when my friends and I were running around in secondary school doing the most nonsensical things anybody could ever think of. Time really can fly by in a blink of the eye. /:
Completely hooked onto Boyfriend's comeback "Janus". It has such a deep meaning and reference to the two-faced Roman God, Janus. The name doesn't appear in the song but the music video has so much relevance. It is so cleverly produced especially since Boyfriend has a pair of twins, Kwangmin and Youngmin! 18 more days!
Wheee~ currently it's wayyy past midnight, like 1:26am, so that means it is 18 more days to my birthday! 2 good friends of mine have already told me about meeting up! I can't wait to meet sherilyn and who knows what we 2 are gonna do for an entire day! Manicure? Pedicure? Gosh! I am also gonna meet up with JD! It has been awhile especially since I got together with QY. Thank goodness both JD and babyboy already know each other :P

I think so but I am not too sure. A new guy would be coming for training at work tomorrow. So yayy! After 2 months plus, I will no longer be "the new girl" hahahaha! Also, my pay has increased to $6/hr! I am really really happy! It means I will have more money to pay off my debts! (:

26 more days..
Currently in PBF lecture and the lecturer is repeating information that she said before in relation to a previous chapter she taught.
October is coming to an end, I have yet to do a recent update on blogshops and there are alot of updates, i know. Do check out the blogshops by clicking on the tabs on the right. The holidays are coming, you need clothes for going out since you don't have to brainlessly wear ur uniforms (sec n jc kids). Now, regarding my post title, a very special day is coming 26 days from now! I am already feeling the excitement! Yes it is my 20th birthday! Mood: Pissed off
I am extremely pissed off and it is probably inappropriate to express such annoyance on my public blog but I am really irritated by my sister's dance seniors. SAJC dance by the way. Do not assume that I am just completely biased against SAJC because I have friends from SAJC. Neither do you go about thinking I am just hating on dancers. I have really good friends from SAJC dance, reason why I went to the one 2 years back and the one this year. So i am not biased at all. I am just particularly annoyed at how 18 year olds think everybody owes them a favour and they should all do charity work for them. Sorry kids, but not all things are for free. In fact, time and effort equates to money. Welcome to the real world.
Reason for my annoyance: My sister was appointed as welfare head for her school dance CCA. To every normal CCA, welfare head do not exactly do much. They just make sure the first aid kit is there, somebody's birthday is coming up, etc. So yes, I guess giving her the Rapture Concert dvds to burn for anybody else who wants it is a relevant task for a welfare head. My sister however, is not much of a tech-savvy person. Hence, we got my boyfriend to help out. DO NOT PRESUME WE'RE TRYING TO EXTORT MONEY BECAUSE WE'RE LIKE TOGETHER OR SOMETHING! That I must point out really clearly. The only reason why I stated $10 because well, I don't know how to charge. I mean you get somebody to burn many copies of a particular concert it is usually that price right? Tell me if I'm wrong. I will admit I am wrong because this is the area I am really unsure about. I asked my sister to ask her friends how much are they willing to pay. Their reply: "can give free?" Seriously?!
Time and effort are extremely expensive. I mean I think you should appreciate how much my boyfriend has put into making sure the quality of the ultra huge video file, (which by the way is 3 huge files) is the same as the original copy and compressed it so that it can fit into 1 disc. I mean anybody would rather watch a video on 1 disc than 3 discs, which whoever the idiot who first burned it was not tech-savvy enough to compress it. (Are you sure you are a qualified video guy who can't do video editing? You even had some parts cut off. HUH?!) I am sincerely apologetic for even stating such a high price of $10 because I am not someone qualified to actually mark a price on items. But at the very least, with some basic manners, I think negotiating a price would have made the situation so much easier. By simply saying you want it free is as good as saying you do not appreciate the efforts made by the person who gave his time to convert/compress your dance video. Yes we can make do with the fancy cover and whatever. The disc he has to buy, the cover he has to buy (well duh he can't be giving you a cd wrapped in unwanted A4 paper right?). Now calculate that with the time and effort (don't forget electricity because he is using his com to burn for you all), I personally feel $5 is enough to cover the cost of the required equipments and be a token of "hey I appreciate your help. Thank you."
Best part of all these, my little sister is actually having her promotional examinations now and her seniors started texting her at about 1230am just now. SHE HAS A PAPER TOMORROW! SHE NEEDS SLEEP! ARE YOU PEOPLE REALLY THAT INCONSIDERATE?! Yes I am not the type to study and I probably don't give a fuck, but my sister does and you people shall not jeopardize her studies, YOU HEAR ME?! You people throw her so much more shit than a welfare head should be doing and yet you impose so much onto her. So much for "sorry to disturb you during your promos." FUCK YOU! And if any of you come across my blog, feel free to comment. I am disgusted by your incorrigible, ungrateful attitude, you bunch of ingrates. and I REPEAT! I am not being biased against anything because I have wonderful friends who have come out from SAJC/SA DANCE.

Enough with the dramas!
One thing I realized from my previous relationship with R was that I always blamed everybody else but not the person at fault, which everybody knew was him. I blamed every single one of those girls when all they simply did was fall in love(or so they thought.)
Sometimes, people forgive the ones they love so easily and yet hate people they don't know for like the rest of their lives. It's tiring. I've been through it, I got fucking tired, and I am now happy with my boyfriend. I tried to make life hell for the many girls R went for. Now 2 of them are my friends because they are honestly really nice girls but I didn't make the effort to know them. I just went "they fucking stole my guy I hate them." Basically, once you love somebody, you are blinded and you cannot judge rationally.
I am not trying to change anything here. I am just trying to bring across a point that sometimes, it isn't just one person's fault. It can be the involvement of many parties but just because you love one, he/she is forgiven easily and everybody else is added to your hate list. When that happens, you affect your mutual friends. How are they gonna invite people to their birthday parties when there are so many subgroups? Hold 10 different parties? Sponsor please?
Sigh I miss my babyboy alot. OI CHAN QING YUAN HURRY COME BACK LA! ):

Emptiness
Hey all, sorry for not being consistent in updating my blog. However you can be updated constantly by following me on instagram and twitter (username: partycar). Those are the 2 social networking sites that I am constantly on, especially with foursquare.
Today is Day 1 without Babyboy and I feel so weird without him. He has been spending every single day with me before he flew off to Brunei last night. He picked me up from school and even sent me to school one of the mornings. He fetched me from netball trainings, brought me out for lunch, and stayed over many many nights. Now my room feels really empty as I have to sleep alone ): Oh well, 2 weeks! Then my babyboy ORD LO!!!
I have been pretty busy with school and work as well. Working at New Zealand Natural has given me a slightly different perspective of life in some way or another. I learnt how to deal with customers, all their weird behaviors and comments :S hahaha. My colleagues are pretty awesome, especially Fiqah, Faza and Ibu(Fiqa). They are really an entertaining bunch of people. Fiqah even said I fell sick because Babyboy was going overseas :P
I have been studying also. Yes I know it's only my 2nd week of school, but I have to maintain my diligence to stay up there. First class honours ain't gonna come to me if I just think year 1 is gonna be a breeze. I have to keep my standards up there. Study from the very beginning and remain consistent. I will try to be consistent in blogging too. haha.
Btw, Trance Party at Avalon tomorrow. RSVP to be on my guestlist for free entry before 12am! Nicole Chen will be spinning for an hour. Everybody loves her la! hahaha. Okay gotta sleep. Driving lesson tomorrow in preparation for my driving test next Friday! woots!

School is starting!!
Hello everybody, it has been awhile since I've blogged/ranted here. Been really busy looking out for a job, preparing for my Grade 8 piano examination and preparing for school.
So last Tuesday I had my piano examination. Boy was it horrible. I started panicking the moment I got one of my scales wrong so everything just started to snowball. Sigh I think I won't be able to pass and I will have to continue practicing until the next examination period which would be March 2013.
After that, I had Econs preparatory class. Gosh it has been awhile since I sat in a lecture for 3 hours straight (minus the 15 mins break). It was not that hard to get accustomed to it actually. Baby came to pick me up from school! ^^ So fun waiting for him and then he came by with the car :P So after that it was birthday celebration with my girls for Pearl and Yumi. It was so much fun playing kinect and Wii with the girls. It was hilarious especially the dancing game. Haha I danced with Yumi, Pearl and Babyboy. It was super hilarious. I have so much fun with my nettie girls ^^
Yesterday I had Mathematics preparatory class. 3 hours and I was 50% lost. Apparently Mathematics and Economics are interlinked. There is like product function and whatever. Omg I couldn't catch up the moment I lost track of something that I had to talk to the girl on my right. Bumped into Cheryl Seow. Sigh yes I got not much friends /: I shall find some friends at training tomorrow ^^
Can't wait for my interview tomorrow at Paragon's New Zealand Natural :P And I have to book my revision driving lessons soon! Photo updates soon. I will post advertisements of blogshops collection soon. (: Also check out my tumblr for more up-to-date updates :D
